Jason said,

Show some respect u pommies. You have no idea making comments like this: “I loved seeing your captain crying his eyes out like a bloody baby. waa waa waa.” Stirling Mortlock is one of the best captains in the league with nick names like captain insano and line break king, find me an English player who can say they have the same reputation a.

Oh get stuffed. I didnt see no capt insano against England. All I saw was the ustralian team bottling it. NINE TURNOVERS? Ha! ha! Insano?!

At least the Wallabies can play good rugby without having to rely on any single player, if it wasn’t for Jonny Wilkinson your team would be down the drain, wasn’t it just last week that South Africa dominated you.

Yeah South Africa and? England dominated Australia. And? You don't wanna talk about that then? Good rugby? Australia? ha! ha! They couldn't get round the back of some old men! Your words; not ours! Just like in 2003 when you were going to do this and do that!

Simon said:

And I’d challenge any one of you to come forward and say anything bad about the Wallabies to their face about crying, so what, this is the last time Australia will ever be able to field a team like this, how would you feel if you were Stephen Larkham last match as a wallaby and he had to spend it on the bench. Show some self respect brits - you won, but you wow well shouldn’t of!

I would have to say being an Englishman living in Australia that there is nothing more satisfying than beating the Aussies , they are arrogant when the win and bitter when they lose.. … We simply outclassed the Australian Side for the majority of the game , The Aussies didn't help themselves with their “this will be a foregone conclusion ” attitude… Maybe if you were so arrogant when you win , you might be able to cope with losing … Go England … I think we have already won our world cup simply by defeating Australia anything else will be a bonus !!!

John Oneill please stand up. You deserve great praise for your kind words a few days back now.

Australia deserve everything they get, there the worlds biggest big heads when their winning and the worst losers in the world. Being a Pom in Australia when we beat them is sweet - makes up for everything they dish out. Australia doesn't deserve any respect, their arrogant big heads and baby losers who bring it all on themselves, a racist cricket team and an arrogant rugby team, who always blame everyone but themselves. As it said in the UK press so sweetly, SCREW ROO!

Being English in Australia really makes the win so much better. I have an Australian mate who has agreed as a bet to wear an England top for one week if we get to final. Not all Australians are bad grapes;(

The loss to England says a lot more about the average Aussie/Ab supporter than the English. All recognized that based on current form the southern hemisphere teams would do well. The problem with form is it does not mean diddly to the game on the day, being insulted, ridiculed and arrogantly claiming that we will win by x,z,y points tends to focus the oppositions minds. As does knowing deep down that the sides from the Northern hemisphere have quality players as well. Reading the pile of bilge before said games, (and yes, bile) shows a fundamental difference, If England celebrate success it tends to come from a scarcity of it, Aussie and NZ supporters seem to have an inbuilt abuse button bordering on racism about England and the worlds biggest supply of sour grapes about losing. You keep on being arrogant and myopic, and every time you lot come a cropper I and others revel in your pain, because your pain is self inflicted. Blame everybody and everything but yourselves for your teams failings, come back again in four years and try not to choke again please. Will you have enough NZ paramedics or rugby grounds for that matter to cope with the demand! Jonny had a lousy kicking game, which the Aussies claimed to to be our only decent player, but one Jonny still managed to beat all of Australia! ha ha

Going back over the years i used to respect the Aussies mentality, that win or die trying attitude, but that performance was just weak and pretty gutless for all the spouting off they did before hand. After the last world cup it was probably a year and most people stopped the digs at the Australians but not this time...have some of your own medicine, then see you in 4 years again...wasters.

I hate to have to worsen the taste of sour grapes that some of the Aussie articles have a strong flavour of. But the negative ‘wingeing Wallabies!’ angle has backfired once again. Go home boys; better luck next time ;-)
