New Zealand Win To End Romania’s Rugby World Cup 2007 Campaign

New Zealand have defeated Romania in Romania’s Final Rugby World Cup 2007 Pool stage match. Romania had already been knocked out of the Rugby World Cup 2007 before the start of the game. A strong New Zealand All Blacks team showed no mercy to Romania. New Zealand qualify as winners from Pool C with a maximum of 20 points and are in the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup 2007.

Portugal End Rugby World Cup 2007 Campaign With Loss

The Rugby World Cup newcomers have ended their Rugby World Cup 2007 campaign with a loss in their final match against Romania earlier this evening. Portugal were leading all the way through until the last ten minutes.

Portugal - a team made up of players who have day jobs and play Rugby as a hobby, will be extremely happy with their performance at their first Rugby World Cup and we will definately see more of them in future Rugby tournaments.

Scotland On 10 Points After Destroying Romania

Scotland have destroyed Romania in their Rugby World Cup Pool C clash in Murrayfield, Edinburgh this evening. Scotland scored 21 points in the first half, and another 21 in the second. Romania had no answers for the brilliant performance by the Scottish national Rugby side.

Romania have announced their official starting lineup for their Rugby World Cup Pool C match against Italy at the Velodrome on Wednesday.

Romania are the only team in Pool B that did not play a game this past weekend.

Final World Rugby Rankings Before The Rugby World Cup

With the IRB Rugby World Cup 2007 almost a week away, the final World Rugby Rankings have been updated, and will remain as they are going into the World Cup.

With all the Rugby World Cup warm up games happening in the past few weeks, the rankings have been changing. The most notable change in the final list is Ireland who move from 6th to 5th, overtaking the Los Pumas of Argentina.

The New Zealand All Blacks remain on top, followed by the Wallabies and then host nation France in 3rd. The Springboks who are tipped off as second best favourites to win the Webb Ellis Cup, are in 4th place.

The full and final list of the World Rugby Rankings for the Rugby World Cup has been updated.
