It seemed as though Namibia were completely out of the game. Once the second half got underway, Namibia managed to pull the score back to Namibia 17-27 Ireland, where it looked like they could press for a bonus point. Ireland sealed the match with a try from Girvan Dempsey in the last 5 minutes, which according to video replays was not a try as Dempsey lost control over the ball. Referee Joel Jutge did not consult the Touchline Match Official and awarded the try straight away.
