Match Summary:
The result has made this game one of the biggest upsets in Rugby World Cup history. The world’s number 1 rugby team - The New Zealand All Blacks are out of the Rugby World Cup 2007.

A bet of 4.2 Million USD was made by an anonymous person from New Zealand a few weeks ago, confident that the worlds number 1 team would be victorious at this years Rugby World Cup 2007. Since New Zealand have been knocked out the man will lose all his money - making it one of the biggest losses of all time in Sport betting!

New Zealand came up with a very unusual silver gray kit which they were forced to use since France’s kit was an extremely dark blue colour. This had all been part of the plan with France expecting to face New Zealand in the final of the Rugby World Cup.

The kit had a definite effect on the mighty “All Blacks” as they were not the same team. They were first on the scoreboard but in the second half they had no answers to France’s strength and aggressive game play.

France went into half time with the score New Zealand 13-3 France. A strong French side continued to preserve and scored a penalty kick, then try with conversion to level the score at 13-13. New Zealand then scored a try but failed to convert it. The magic moment for France came in the 68th minute when what seemed like a forward pass managed to give France the break through and allowed Jauzion to score a try which was converted leaving the score at France 20-18 New Zealand through to the end of the game.

The win means that France will now face defending champions’ England in the semi-finals of the Rugby World Cup 2007.
